Yesterday I made a smock apron for my granson's teacher. I also gave a tree to a friend; the tree was from a cutting off of another tree and I stuck the cutting in the dirt and it began to grow. My friend wanted one of these trees, so I gave the Bald Cypress to her. She in turn gave me a bunch of flowers from her garden and I came home and planted them. As I saw that I had more than I needed, I made sure my husband took some of them to his secretary, who I share plants with often. We just keep those roots going!
I also started a small lap quilt to take to my family reunion next month. I have made several handmade things to be auctioned off. We do this to pass on heirlooms and to raise money for our food and door prizes each year. We are so lucky to have a large family. Grandma had 12 kids and those kids had multitudes and so on. I am now in the older group. Most of the seniors have passed on.
Today I sprayed my bull nettles so they will leave my pasture alone.
Then the gravel truck came with a load of gravel to spread on our washed out road. We will finish touching it up on Saturday.
I am about to go out and work in the garden and pull some weeds and then plant some zinnias that got washed away in the 5 inches of rain we got this week. I praise the rain, just have to clean up after it. Our pasture needs it so we do not have to buy hay for the cows.
Have a great day. Apple pie for supper and beans and ham for an appetizer.

Sounds like a great supper and appetizer!
I'm heading out right now to plant some flowers. I grew up on a farm and still like to pretend I live on one. Enjoy yours - Cami
